SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PERSONALITY: Elliott is observant and looks at the world in a very analytic fashion. He tries to be level-headed and attentive, always looking for a way to improve his standing in life – so, yes, he’s also ambitious. He has a tendency to get bored, however, and loves extreme sports to pump up his adrenaline, and risks always seem somewhat appealing to him. He doesn’t greatly enjoy being alone, and he tends to make himself the life of the party, laughing and joking with everyone; when he can't quite handle what's happening around him, he'll try to turn it into a joke, or at least shift the conversation topic and avoid it. When there is something official blocking his path, Elliott can get quite rebellious, sometimes ostentatiously so, and follows the rules he sets for himself, because, well, who cares about the other rules; he wants what he wants, and he'll do what he wants to get it, and he'll show everyone, too, because it's not fun to do something if nobody knows about it. Before he seems too much like a psychopath, however, Elliott does experience emotions such as guilt. He just happens to try to detach himself from his feelings, though it never quite works out – this might be because he tends to get attached to people very quickly and is extremely loyal, to the point of fault, or at least always believes that he must pay his debts. He finds that he enjoys cooking but never has improved much beyond cereal and EasyMac.
SHORT HISTORY: Elliott Miles Adkins was born October 8, 1989 at 10:50 AM, exactly thirteen minutes and twenty-four seconds after his twin sister. Elliott was raised to be ambitious and hardworking – not necessarily at schoolwork, but hardworking toward goals, in whatever way that meant. His family had lost all its money a few generations back, and so everyone has been working toward getting it back. All Elliott’s life, he’s been surrounded with the vital importance placed on money and family, as the company was family-owned, and Elliott would be up soon to take his place in it somehow. He has an older brother, an older sister, and his twin sister. When Elliott was twenty, his mother died after a long battle with breast cancer.
Starting in ninth grade, Elliott was sent to boarding school in the United States. Upon graduation, he attended Stanford University in California – thanks to some help from alumni relatives. Immediately after graduating, he continued his forward educational momentum and attended New York University Law School and graduated in three years. Now, he’s come home to try to wriggle his way into the family business in any way he can, and be a help to regain his family’s – and his own – fortune.
FINANCIAL STATUS: Upper Class. His family lost much of its money during the Great Depression when the government cracked down on Elliott’s great-grandfather’s brewery and speakeasy, and then his great-aunt gambled much of the rest of the fortune away. Since then, the family has been picking up its tattered remains and working its way up through Elliott’s grandparents’ and parents’ generation, and now his.
